Shanghai: Long Yongtu, the Boao Forum Asia Secretary-General and China’s chief negotiator for its entry into the World Trade Organization, paid his second visit to Shanghai Silport during the 5th China’s Golf Club General Manager Conference.

Club owner Beta Soong, President of the Silport Group, and Fang Juzheng, Deputy General Manager of Tiger Beach, accompanied Long who first played the course during a rainy day in April 2003. The avid golfer spoke highly of Silport’s Championship layout that was being prepared for the 10th Volvo China Open. He said he hoped that Shanghai Silport would further progress and that one of the top golf courses in China would be able to display its challenging characteristics to the world.
