The award-winning Shanghai Silport Golf Club will be the venue for this year's Volvo China Open, the first to be jointly staged by the Asian and European Tours.

The course, recently named as 'Host Venue of the Year 2003' by the Asian Tour professionals for the second time in three years, will be staging the Volvo China Open for the sixth consecutive year while it is the 10th anniversary of the tournament.

Previous winners at Silport are Kyi Hla Han of Myanmar (1999), England's Simon Dyson (2000), Charlie Wi of Korea (2001) and Australian David Gleeson (2002).
