 The 2009 Silport Grand Monthly Medal demonstrated the diversity of the clubĄ¯s membership as a Chinese woman and a Japanese man were crowned the champions.
In the culmination of the second year that Silport had hosted an ongoing Monthly Medal to determine the club champion, Li Li Yun successfully defended her title as the Group B (handicaps 19 and above) nett champion when the 20 handicap, a popular participant at the many Silport events throughout the year, shot an 84 for a nett 64.
With the field made up of 40 monthly medal winners and runner-ups over the year, as well as those who had gained entry via the lucky draw, Fujisono Hiromu claimed the Group A (handicaps 1 to 18) title when the 18 handicap carded an 88 for a nett 70 over the East and Center course layouts.
Zhang Bo Kun was recognized with the 2009 Annual Improvement Award as he lowered his 21.2 handicap to 15 through a regimen of regular practice.
Special thanks to all the sponsors of the Monthly Medal events throughout the year as the grand finale featured prizes such as a round-trip air ticket from Shanghai to Sanya, a set of Adams irons, Pro-Simon apparel and an Esteem down blanket, among others.
