 Li Li Yun, Silport¡¯s two-time defending club champion, started her 2010 campaign in strong form at the Spring Members Invitational when she won the women¡¯s nett champion prize with an impressive round of 15-over 87.
Playing over the East and Center course layouts under a New Peoria scoring format, Huang Hui emerged the dominant player of the day as the 15.6 handicap won the nett champion prize with a score of 88. He also took the Honma long drive prize with a blast of 290 yards.
Ke Zhen Hong shot an 84 for the low round of the day and the gross champion title.
Also recognized were Hong Yaw-shun and Park Se-woo with nearest-the-pin prizes, the latter coming to within six inches of an ace on the Center Course eighth hole.
At the awards ceremony following the golf, there were prizes such as golf bags, apparel, air tickets and golf balls, among others. Silport general manager David Chen also announced that the club had been selected as the 2009 Top Golf Club@Jiangsu by Golf Weekly.
