 Shanghai: SilportĄ¯s June Monthly Medal proved a middle year of strength for the field of over 40 strong participants after the Chinese traditional dragon boat festival and also the cool weather made the players feel much more comfortable to concentrate their power on the golf.
Playing over the North and West courses, MACHIBA TAKAHIRO emerged the net champion of Group A (handicaps one to 18) as the 16 handicap carded a round of 87 for a net 71. GU JIAN GUO finished runner-up after the 13 handicap shot 85 for a net 72.
The honor for the Group B (handicaps 19 and above) HIROSHI MUNEHA a 24 handicap, shot a 90 for a winning score of net 66. Runner-up Mr. HUANG LIXIN with a 21 handicap shot a 91 for a winning score of net 70. Mr. KURASAKI NOBUO called the nearest-the-pin prize winner after putting his tee shot to within 2 feet of the flag. Mr. CHEN HSIN CHIEN won the strong LD prize when he blasted his tee shot about 255 yards down the fairway.
At the party afterwards, Mr. HASEGAWA JUN had his name pulled from a lucky draw to book his place in the 2011 Grand Monthly Medal, and the lucky thing also happened on the brothers as TUYEWEILIN won the lucky gift which was drew by his younger brother TUYEHONGYI.
