The Spring Cup could have been mistaken for the Winter Cup as the field of 114 players had to brave cold, wet and windy weather in the first members’ tournament of the year at Silport.
With the players divided into three groups according to their handicap, Yang Xiang Hai shot an 81 for the low score on the day to win the Group A gross champion category. The nett champion was Miya Zawa with a 72.2.
Michael Harvey (89) was Group B gross champion while Mr Park (72) was nett champion. Group C gross champion was Gao Guang Zhong (91) and nett champion Wu Zhong Fang (73.8).
Bearing Point president Huang Hui displayed his driving prowess in winning the long drive contests on West Course holes three and nine while Mr Kidagawa also won two long drives and a nearest the pin prize.
Among the top lady performers were Gu Shu Zhen who won the second nett runner-up in Group C while Mrs Park won the first nett runner-up in the guest group.
After the tournament, a host of prizes were given out to the winners and by various lucky draws.
