Shanghai: BearingPoint made a welcome return to Silport when the
consultancy giant hosted the 2005 BearingPoint Golf Invitational
for a field of 80 customers and its management representatives.
Teeing off on Silport¡¯s Championship layout under sunny conditions,
Fu Zhong proved the big winner on the day when he carded a six-over-par
78 for the low gross honor as well as capturing one of three long
drive prizes on offer. Shi Jun finished runner-up in the low gross
competition with a score of 80.
Gao Yi Min, a 19.2 handicap, shot a round of 90 for the low nett
prize with a nett score of 70.8. Mao Weiping finished runner-up
as the 26.4 handicap shot a 98 for a nett 71.6.
Other honors went to Tsut Matsuda and Liu Donghai who won the
other long drive prizes and Li Hai and a Mr Matosumoto who each
earned a nearest-the-pin honor.
A BMW automobile that was on offer for a hole-in-one on the West
Course No. 2 hole went unclaimed.
Following their round of golf, the guests repaired to Silport¡¯s
upstair¡¯s dining room for a gala dinner presentation that included
a swim suit fashion show and a performance of singing and dancing.
Dr Bryan Huang Hui, BearingPoint¡¯s Senior Vice-President N. Asia
and Great China, called golf an excellent vehicle for bringing
the company¡¯s clients closer together as well as for making new
friends. The company, which is involved in consultancy services
for communications, financial, high tech, public sector and consumer
and industrial markets, last held a golf event at Silport in 2003.
