Shanghai: Eighty six of China¡¯s top executives, all graduates
of the China Europe International Business School¡¯s MBA program,
took the Silport challenge when car giant Audi hosted the CEIBS
President Cup Alumni Spring Golf Tournament.
Teeing off under sunny conditions, Zhang Yaohui experienced the
difficulty of Silport¡¯s Championship layout first hand as the
1.2 handicap fired a six-over-par 78 to capture the low gross
prize. Huang Hongyan, a 7.2 handicap, shot an 83 to finish runner-up.
In the low nett category, 12 handicap Fan Jianzhen shot an 85
to win with a nett 73 score. Jiang Qin finished runner up as the
18 handicap shot a 91 for a nett 73.
Other winners included the South China Alumni Team who captured
the Best Teamwork Prize.
Following their round, the player repaired to Silport¡¯s upstairs
dining room for the prize presentation and a gala dinner. An auction
of such items as a ZH calligraphy, a Western painting and
a model Buick car was also held. The money raised went to the
alumni¡¯s foundation.
The Shanghai-based institution which celebrated its 10th anniversary
last year, is rated among China¡¯s leading international business
schools. Its objective is to contribute to the country¡¯s economic
growth through training managers and senior executives in the
most recent business practices of international management.
The school receives financial support from both the Shanghai Government
and the European Union and is a joint-venture partner with Shanghai
Jiaotong University and the European Foundation for Management
Development.
