Shanghai: Construction giant Jinmao Group, builders of Shanghai’s tallest skyscraper, entertained its top clients and business partners in staging the Jinmao Golf Funday at Silport.

Following a group photo of the 40-man field on the first tee of the East Course, Jinmao president He Cao got the proceedings going when he teed off the first shot.

While some of the guests repaired to the driving range afterwards for a teaching session with Shanghai Television program host Ji Xuepeng, on the course Zhen Anguo proved the dominant force in the field as the president of Huabao Xingye Funds Management Co carded a nine-over-par 81 to claim the low gross honor.

Zhang Kewei, vice president of Jasmine Co was the low nett champion as the 21.6 handicap carded a round of 94 for a nett score of 72.4. Wei Yiqiang, a 14.4 handicap, and He Manxin finished joint runner up as both finished with a nett 72.6.

At a gala dinner following the golf, Lu Mei, vice president of the Jinmao Group, addressed the players and guests and thanked them for their support and cooperation. She told the guests assembled to “Embrace Nature, Enjoy Success!” the slogan of the golf fun day.
