Shanghai: The city¡¯s golf-mad South Korean community descended on Silport recently when the club acted as the host venue for the 2005 Shanghai Korean Chamber of Commerce Invitational.

With the 142-man mixed field starting from a shotgun start on the club¡¯s Championship Course under sunny but cool conditions, WJ Jang bested his 3.6 handicap when he shot a two-over 74 to win the men¡¯s low gross honor.

YH Lee proved the best among the Korean women when the 16.8 handicap shot a gross 90 score.
Other outstanding performances saw 8.4 handicap YK Hong shoot a six-over 78 for a low nett 69.6, best among the men, while 18 handicap JH Son was tops among the women when she shot a 92 for a nett 74.

Special thanks goes out to Asian Airlines, the main sponsor of the event, who donated flight tickets between Shanghai and Seoul.
