Shanghai: Qu Zhennan made the Feili International Transport’s golf invitational at Silport a memorable occasion when the Cathay Pacific executive recorded a rare ace on the club’s signature hole.

Playing in a field of 80 guests made up of freight forwarders, company executives and government officials, Qu, the general manager of freight for Cathay Pacific China region, hit a perfect shot on the Center Course No. 8 that cleared both the water and the sand to watch his ball roll into the cup on the 140-yard hole.

Playing on Silport’s Championship layout under sunny conditions, other prizes saw Xu Jingsong, the marketing manager of China Construction Bank’s Kunshan branch shoot a five-over-par 77 to claim the low gross prize. Yao Qin, general manager of Feili Kunshan was runner-up after an 81, followed by Xiao Jianming a shot further back.

Liu Xiangtai, the general manager of ENLight Group and a 28.8 handicap, shot 100 to claim the low nett with nett 71.2 score. Tao Wenhong, the general manager of Compass Advertising was runner-up, followed by Luo Zhiqiang.

Other notable accomplishments saw Huang Qinglong and Duan Yezhong claim the longest drive honors, while Zhang Zhiqin and Zhen Qinming each had a nearest-the-pin prize.
