Shanghai:
Perhaps drawing inspiration from Tiger Woods who headlined the
HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai only a day earlier, David
Wang posted a successful defense of his DragonAir Cargo Golf Challenge
at Shanghai Silport under sunny but windy conditions.
Teeing off in a shotgun start against a field that included 44
top executives of air forwarders and airlines based in the Shanghai
area, Wang, of UPS SCS (China), carded a 16-over-par 88 on the
clubĄ¯s Championship layout (Center and West courses) to beat equal-second-place
finishers Masayuki Yoshida of Shanghai Gaosin International Logistics
and R.S. Hsu of Shanghai Timax Logistics by three shots.
For his efforts, Wang received a Callaway golf bag and a trophy.
Yoshida finished a double winner on the day as the 14.4 handicap
carded a nett 76.6 for the low nett honor, ahead of Sam Wang of
UPS SCS (China) (nett 77.2) and Victor Mok of Exel Logistics (China)
(nett 77.8).
Lucky draw prizes included two round trip business class tickets
anywhere Dragonair flies and a round trip business class ticket
via Dragonair on its Shanghai to Hong Kong route.
