Shanghai: China Marine Shipping Agency Co celebrated its 20th anniversary in style at Silport when the country’s biggest shipping cargo freight forwarder hosted the Eastern China Golf Tournament for its top management and guests.

With a field of 57 top executives and managers teeing off on the Silport Championship Course, the Center and West layouts, Jiang Yafu emerged the top player on the day as the Xiaokeyou Oil Tanker Co representative carded a 14-over 86 for the low gross honor. Six handicap Ren Yanbin, Qianfeng Marine Shipping general manager, was runner-up with an 88 while Jin Huangzhong was third, three shots off the pace.

Yihe Trading general manager Wang Xiaowei captured the low nett prize as the 12 handicap shot a 92 for a nett 80. Eighteen handicap Du Shuqin was runner up, while Xue Chaochun, a 20.4 handicap, was third with a nett 81.6 score.

Other honors on the day went to Wang Tong and Lin Yongbao who each captured a nearest-the-pin prize, and Gu Youyi and Shi Xiang, winners of the longest drive prizes. A Land Rover Discovery-3 SUV that was on offer for a hole-in-one went unclaimed.

At the gala dinner party following the golf, Zhang Jianwei, President of China Marine Agency Co, welcomed the guests, saying that “with all your support and cooperation, China Marine will definitely sail into a healthy and bright future.”
