Shanghai: Baosteel and their invited guests took time out from their busy schedules to compete in the Second Baosteel Mineral Cup Golf Invitational staged on a sunny but extremely cold day at Silport

With a field of 37 players made up of Baosteel executives, top clients and suppliers of the country’s largest producer of iron and steel, from China, Japan and South Korea, Asia’s top three steel producing countries, Ding Shouhu, the deputy sourcing manager for the Mineral Dept of Baosteel Corp, captured the low gross honor. Zhao Kun, Baosteel’s deputy general manager, was runner up, followed by Cao Zhineng.

In the nett category, Zhang Enbo emerged as the nett champion, followed by runner-up Guan Shurong and a Mr Kusubashi.

Other prizes on a day of Arctic conditions saw Liu Yongshun, Baosteel Corp’s Mineral Sourcing Center deputy general manager, win the longest drive prize, and Lin Suofei capture both the best female honor and the nearest the pin.
