Shanghai: The Suzhou branch of China Telecom took time out to thank 23 of its top customers when the telecommunications giant hosted the Top Clients Golf Invitational at Silport.
In his welcoming speech, Huang Bin, Suzhou Telecom¡¯s deputy general manager, said that with its history of more than 100 years, China Telecom had developed into the country¡¯s biggest telecommunications group, covering a wide range of communication mediums in telephone, broadband, long-distance data communication and internet protocol television.
¡°In future, with China¡¯s 3G license launched, China Telecom will enter the mobile communications service market, enabling us to offer a full range of services to all our clients,¡± he said.
With the guests coming from six Suzhou City counties ¨C Suzhou, Kunshan, Zhangjiagang, Changsu, Taicang and Wujiang ¨C Zhuang Ying-wan proved the outstanding player as the Taiwanese shot a 9-over 81 for the low gross honor in addition to taking one of the nearest-the-pin prizes on the East Course No. 3 hole.
Luo Wenzheng was the other big winner on the day as the 25.2 handicap shot 102 over the Center and East Course layouts but still managed to walk away with the low nett with a score of nett 66.8.
Other honors saw Sun Jian Hua and Bo Nin Kang win longest drives, and Fang Xiu Pei the other nearest-the-pin prize.
