Shanghai: Silport was pleased to host chief executive officers from many of the country’s biggest companies when the 2006 Forbes China Elite Golf Tournament and China A List Award Ceremony was held at the club.

With the leaders of such large companies as Mengniu, Jiangsu Guangsha and Jiangsu Longliqi, among others, in attendance, the golf day hosted by the business information giant attracted a great deal of media attention despite the extremely hot conditions. Besides the golf, another attraction that proved of great interest was the test drives being offered for the new Ford Lincoln Town Car.

Starting from a shot-gun start over the Championship Course (West and Center layouts), Xu Xiaoqing topped the field when he shot a 9-over 81 to pip Ye Zaichang by a stroke. Wu Conghe followed closely behind two off the pace.

Fan Shengling finished top among the women players.

Following the prize presentation, Forbes representatives, including the company’s publisher and chief editor, announced the top enterprises of 2006. As dinner was served, the guests were treated displays of Indian dance and ballet.
