Beautifully coinciding with the glorious arrival of spring, the 2007 GoTone VIP Club Quarterly Golf Tournament took place on March 23, 2007 at Silport. This fun-filled event boasted a diverse field of fresh contenders from many different cities, including Suzhou, Kunshan, Wujiang, Changshu, Taicang and Zhangjiagang, each city offering 20-player teams. Under an H36 scoring format, Group A Net Champion went to Huang Taihao, with second place to Zhang Yimin and third place going to Huang Chengsong. Group B Net award winner was Huang Tongqin, with Liu Jintian coming in second and Lu Guohua third. Group C players finished in the order of Lin Qiuhua, Yan Yonglong and Zhou Weiliang. John Hooten ended up Gross Champion, while Nearest to the Pin winner was Wu Jinli. Top honors also went to City Group Champions Wujiang with a winning score of 584. Suzhou placed second with 599, followed by Zhangjiagang at 603, Taicang at 604, Kunshan at 630, and Changshu at 674. At the awards presentation ceremony, participants not only proudly accepted their well-earned prizes, but also exchanged lively words with one another about their golfing experiences, all in the spirit of fostering friendship.
