Configuration which was used to contest the Volvo China Open earlier this year, Playing under a New New Peoria scoring format, Gavin Bridgeman topped the field when he shot an impressive seven-over 79 to claim the low gross honor. The victor said he had been inspired by the fact that the tournament was being played on the same layout as the recent Volvo China Open which he described as ˇ°beautiful and different,ˇ± and that the cool air made him feel ˇ°nice and relaxed.ˇ±
Other honors saw James Ward-Lilley win the low nett with a score of 72.8, while Kurt Snyder claimed the nearest the pin when he put his shot within 10 feet of the flag on the East No. 3 hole. Lucas Shannon (300 yards) and Russell Farmery (305 yards) each won a longest drive hole.
Despite the small field, there were some fairly good golfers present as seven players ¨C Kurt Snyder, Angus Lai, Tat Cheong-kwan, Henry Song, Jimmy Dickerson, Kenny Ho and Remy Chan ¨C all beat Silport resident professional Michael Dickie on the ˇ°Beat the proˇ± hole on the Center course No. 8 par three hole.
