Shanghai: Silport head professional Michael Dickie is back in China after a month in Florida where he successfully received his certification as a David Leadbetter Golf Academy (DLGA) instructor. His new title is now Shanghai Silport David Leadbetter Golf Academy director.

After a rigorous training program under the famed South African swing guru Leadbetter himself at the DLGA training centers at Bradenton and Champions Gate, Dickie, a PGA professional from Lockerbie, Scotland, said he was extremely excited to be taking on his new role.

“I look forward to leading our team of instructors. Golf in Shanghai is developing and with the skills and experience that I have gained with my time in DLGA, I am confident that we can offer a world class instruction service and allow golfers to reach their potential and enjoy the game more,” he said.

While in Florida, Dickie took in the WGC CA Championship at Doral where he caught up with old friends and top touring pros Paul Casey and Ross Fisher, in addition to meeting teen sensation Michelle Wie and LPGA Tour regular Paula Creamer, both Leadbetter prodigies.
