Shanghai: The Second Golf Friendship Tournament of the International Chamber attracted a healthy turnout at Silport as 100 business people, mostly CEOs and chairman of famous companies in Shanghai and Silport, contested the event.

Playing in sunny and hot condition on the East and Center course layouts under the New Peoria scoring system, Weng Rui, Bernd Ruschmeyer and Wu Yanping were the big winners on the day as they won the low gross, low nett and champion female prizes respectively.
Weng, a 9.6 handicap, shot a nine-over 81 to finish just ahead of Huang Longguan and Guo Lixin who were two shots off the pace. Huang was declared the runner-up by virtue of his higher handicap.
Ruschmeyer, a 16.8 handicap, shot an 86 to finish with a winning low nett score of 69.2, ahead of runner-up Ye Zaichang (70.4) and Wang Junhao (70.4). Ye, who had an identical 15.6 handicap to Wang, finished runner-up as he had the lower score over the last nine holes.
In addition to Wu winning the low gross, other impressive performances by the ladies saw Zhang Haiying capture the long drive with a blast of 220 yards on the East No. 9 and Zhou Xiangqun took the nearest-the-pin honor when she put her ball within 18 inches of the hole on the Center No. 8, Silport¡¯s signature hole.
This friendly event was co-sponsored by numerous parties in the ¡°Merchants of Zhejiang Province¡± magazine, the Shanghai Golf Association, the ZH President Association and the Italian Commercial Association, among others.
Following the golf, the participants were treated to a fashion show of the latest Mizuno golf apparel and a jewellery show while enjoying live jazz music as the prize presentation was held.
