Shanghai: Silport employees had the opportunity see the service levels provided by the club first hand from the perspective of the customers through a unique training exercise in the First Silport Staff Cup Golf Competition.
With an emphasis on promoting the clubĄ¯s service standard, 101 employees, many of them tired from watching the Olympic action the night before, teed off at 6 a.m. over the East and Center courses for nine holes of stroke play.
As the participants posed as members, their mission was to experience and evaluate the clubĄ¯s service levels from a customer perspective. In addition, the exercise was to elevate their understanding of golf and improve cooperation among the staff from the various departments.
On the course, the talent level of the golf prowess of the employees shone through as Yan Jianhua, the winner of one of the nearest-the-pin honors, took the menĄ¯s low gross with a six-over 42. The runner-up was Yang Xunsong (46), the other nearest-the-pin winner, and Li Yu (47).
Zhao Xuezhen proved the best among the ladies when she shot 53, comfortably ahead of runner-up Shen Jufang (56) and Tang Jinfeng (57).
Other honors went to Wu Jinhua and Liu Jiagu who each claimed a long drive prize with blasts of 240 yards and 185 yards respectively.
