Shanghai: Silport’s finely-manicured fairways provided a stunning backdrop for the Shanghai International Fashion Federation (SHIFF) as the group staged a golf tournament over the North and West courses that attracted a field of about 90 players.

With the field divided into the ‘Championship’ and ‘Session Beginning Competition’ divisions under a New Peoria scoring format, the extremely hot conditions proved conducive to some top-notch golf as some impressive scores were recorded.

In the Championship division, four players carded rounds of eight-over 80, but it was Lu Wenxu (nett 70.4) and Huang Yongwen winning the gross champion and nett champion prizes respectively.

In the Session Beginning Competition, Gu Yun Gao and Cai Hong each shot 83, but it was the former emerging the gross champion by virtue of his higher handicap. Hu Cheng Cheng was the nett champion as the 26.4 handicap shot a 99 for a nett 72.6.
