With the tournament open to the airlines¡¯ Crane Club business elite, those who had accumulated more than 500,000 air miles in the course of a year, Cai, the master of ceremony for the day, let his clubs do the talking on course when he shot a 82 for the gross champion honor. He added to his haul with the long-drive prize on the North Course seventh hole.
Playing under a New New Peoria scoring format over the North and West courses, He Bin captured the nett champion honor with a nett 71.8 following a round of 85, while Cheng Hao was a close runner-up with a nett 72.8 after a 96.
Feng Bao An won the nearest-the-pin prize on the West Course eighth hole.
Professional Lin Long Xin also joined the field, registering a round of 73. He was ineligible for any of the prizes that included round-trip tickets to Sanya and Lijiang, a Taylormade golf bag, an ipod nano and other ipod electronic devices, among others.
