 Jiangsu Feiliks International Logistics was in seventh heaven when the company returned to Silport for a fifth occasion to host its namesake Golf Invitational for a seventh year.
With the weather sunny and ideal for low scoring over the West and North courses, Wang Sheng Ting and Zhang Zheng Wen made the most of the conditions in dominating the proceedings against a field of 93 players.
Playing under a New New Peoria scoring format, Zhang stayed true to his 2.4 handicap, carding a round of 74 to win the gross champion prize. For good measure, he also unleashed a 300-yard blast on the North Course seventh hole for a long-drive prize. Xu Jin Zhen won the other long drive with a 260-yard tee shot on the West Course ninth hole.
Wang, a 9.6 handicap, was equally impressive as Zhang in capturing the nett champion honor (nett 71.4) after a round of 81, and one of the nearest-the-pin prizes when he put his tee shot to one foot of the flag on the West Course eighth hole. Hong Shi Zhang, Tang Ye and Xu Jin Song also won nearest-the-pin honors.
Also honored among the field made up of Jiangsu Feliks senior management and their customers from Kunshan and Jiangsu was Yao Gang who took the closet-to-the-line prize on the West Course third hole.
While the grand prize of a 400,000 RMB Saab automobile for a hole-in-one on the North Course third hole went unclaimed, other prizes including a Samsung notebook, Sony and Canon digital cameras and an Epson printer, among others, were given away at the award ceremony following the golf.
